Meeting Adrienne

Yesterday was the big day: we got to see Adrienne for the first time! We were all excited, but by the time we got there, Marianna could hardly contain herself. We had to briefly fill out paper work before we could see her, and Marianna didn't appreciate the delay. She kept saying "Where's my sister? I want to see my baby!!" Adrienne was brought out shortly after, and she took our breath away. It was an amazing moment. The time we spent with Adrienne was beautiful, and even though she slept through the visit, I would say the first meeting was absolutely perfect.

I can't share details or pictures right now, but I can tell you that we want to bring her home at the first moment possible. If that comes next week we will be thrilled. Please continue to pray for all of the many details. I hardly know what to pray specifically except that God work the details out according to His absolute best plan. I don't pretend to know what that is, but I want whatever that is with all my heart.

I have been following your journey for some time now and it just thrilled me to read the news of your adoption journey a couple of days ago. I really do pray that these moments of waiting will go by quickly, that details will fall into place, and that you will see more of Jesus as you wait on your daughter.

I can't help but think what a beautiful reflection this is of our heavenly Father's fight for us as his children. He battles for us just as you are battling for this little girl to become your own.

Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing your story with all of us.

I found your blog through Boothe's...which I found from a fellow Auburn Graduate. I've been addicted to reading ever since. Thank you for your passionate love of Christ and the hope that you have filled my heart with as my husband and I struggle with infertility. Congratulations on this new little life. Rejoicing with you!

Hi, I have been a reader of your Blog for sometime i have said many prayers for you and your family. After reading the anon post about childless families a thought came to my mind which i would like to share with you, I believe this beautiful baby who is being given to you has as much rights to a beautiful big sister as she has to have beautiful careing parents, if all babies were given to childless couples, then they would all miss out on the beautiful relationships with siblings. I think this baby will be loved, and blessed by both parents and BIG sister!

Angie I am hoping that at this time you have Adrienne Christine in your arms and are showering her with all the love that she deserves and that you will so graciously give her.

While following your journey during your pregnancy and birth of Poppy Joy. I, like so many others prayed for miracles. Whatever the miracles would be. Maybe it didn't turn out as we wanted, but it turned out as "He" planned. I believe that there were many miracles from "Him" because of Poppy Joys birth. Miracles being that people have come to know Him, people have been drawn closer to Him, those that had loss of faith in Him have renewed their faith. I believe that one of the biggest miracles is that the Lord lead you to this adoption agency and to this beautiful baby that will be yours. And I think that we all can see a miracle in these birth mothers who have chosen life for their babies and that He has given them strength to give their baby to a family that can give them what they could not. I pray for these women and that through their experience they will find Him and grow closer to Him each and every day.

Angie, I pray that the Lord has already placed that little one in your home and that you, your husband and daughter are showering her with all the love that you have for her.

I have said this on past posts and I will say it again. I am thankful for you Angie. You and your family are truly an inspiration. You all are truly a picture of what His love and grace can do.

wishing you lots of love and success. . . . . . Fla

Patience is a virtue which God has not yet perfected in me. I suspect that I am not the only one checking here often...

Angie and Nathan, please know that there are many praying for your dear family. You've got pray-ers on our knees for y'all, and we'll stay here if you need us.

Your Poppa would say that you are God’s melody of life and He sings His song through you.

We're listening.
