good news!

I promised that when you saw a picture it would mean good news... I just really didn't know if it would come this soon! The sweet birth mother surrendered her rights today-something so precious to us and undoubtedly difficult for her. I am so grateful to her!

These were taken a week ago on the night when we brought Adrienne home. It's really feeling real, and that is a very fantastic feeling. I have much I will be sharing in a few days, but for now, I just wanted you to see the four of us together. Thank you for your prayers!

Angie,
She is truly beautiful! I am so happy for you all. What a wonderful tapestry God is making for your family. The front is so beautiful, but when you turn it over you can see all the knots and cuts it took to get the beauty on the other side.

Congratulations!

can i ask a question? how did this happen so fast? it seems incredible as most adoptions take much longer, don't they? you are blessed three times! jan

Angie, this is so wonderful. God is so faithful. I was especially struck by what you wrote, how God accomplished getting this child into your arms in less time than you could have physically carried her. It is so important to rely on Him, and I remember your wish that you would not have to lose time in physical recovery from the c-section ... but God intended you to have THIS baby, and already knew about her.

I love you, and will continue to pray.

All I think of when I visit your site is how faithful God is. On those days when I feel like He doesn't see me or hear me, your testimony points right to Him. I am literally bursting with joy over the gift of this baby to you. This is what your life looks like to me of the little you have posted on this website...You are devastated to lose your beautiful girl Poppy. You trusted God anyway. Your family, a beautiful legacy of faith has gathered around you. You receive news that you cannot become pregnant for a very long time and go back to a dream of adoption immediately. You share this as a couple. You apply and are accepted. Then you are CHOSEN out of all the other applicants in a very quick time frame. You bring your baby home and the papers are already signed within a week (I think). Miracle after miracle. This baby, chosen for you at this moment in time. Given because of your faith, given as a gift of healing, not to forget but to remember. Because of Poppy, because of Jesus...You have spoken volumes into my life. You are remembering the sorrow but embracing the future. God bless you today. Colleen

Our family has been blessed by adoption and I am so excited for you. Little Adrienne is precious and a wonderful addition to your family. I have been blessed by following your blog. The faith you've exhibited through the birth and death of sweet Poppy has been amazing and an example to all of us. I know she's looking down from Heaven on her earthly family and is happy for all of you. One thing for sure, we know she's not sad nor sick and is perfect in the arms of Jesus! What a comforting thought. May God continue to bless your family as you continue to serve Him and give Him all the glory. (This is my first post although I've been following your blog for a while.)
